THE VERB SPELLING OF DUTCH
All our foreign students learn over time how to apply the verb spelling of Dutch. After 50 tests they know exactly the correct use of d’s, t’s, or double t or d. Still, it happens all too often that native Dutch speakers, when writing an email or another text, come up with ways to avoid the t’s and d’s. Well, for the verb spelling of Dutch, Google doesn’t really help! If you want to send an email or write an error-free text, you’ll need to have it checked by someone who has mastered the language. Seems at least pleasant to me!
Verb spelling is a very important part of spelling, because in every sentence there is always one or more verbs.
Unfortunately, many Dutch people don’t really understand when they should write a ‘t’, a ‘d’ or ‘dt’.
And that’s a pity, because properly learning verb spelling really isn’t that difficult.
By applying a few simple rules, you’ll soon master the language!
The good news is that everyone can learn it! Yes, you too!
Can you imagine how it feels when you are certain that the spelling of your texts is correct?
And that you can explain why? That you’re no longer dependent on the help of others? That will make you happy!
In a short writing skills course we explain to you exactly how it works.
I guarantee your success!
